A Zenodo community for RED-SEA
To make it easier to find the RED-SEA publications and deliverables, we have created a RED-SEA community in Zenodo, the open repository developed under the European OpenAIRE program and operated by CERN. Visit regularly to see what’s going on at RED-SEA!
IO-SEA webinar
Don’t miss the webinar organised by our partner project IO-SEA on 13 October 2022: “Software for exascale architectures driven by hierarchical storage management approach”. The webinar will present a novel data management and storage platform for exascale computing based on hierarchical storage management (HSM) and ephemeral data life-cycle management. The aim of the platform is […]
The SEA projects in HPCwire
On 5 August 2022, the SEA projects were featured in an HPCwire article entitled “SEA Changes: How EuroHPC Is Preparing for Exascale“. The article details the contributions of DEEP-SEA, IO-SEA and RED-SEA for the imminent arrival of European exascale computing. This was the outcome of the “Project spotlight” on the SEA projects published by the EuroHPC […]
First in-person F2F meeting: the album
The RED-SEA team had its first in-person meeting since the beginning of the project at ICS-FORTH in Heraklion. It was a great pleasure to finally get to meet each other – and in such nice surroundings! A big thank you to the FORTH team for hosting us in style
White Paper on MSA
The Modular Supercomputing Architecture (MSA) is at the heart of the SEA projects – the projects DEEP-SEA, IO-SEA and RED-SEA that joined forces to develop complementary European technologies for exascale supercomputing. ETP4HPC recently published a White Paper that is a good overview of the MSA initially developed by the DEEP projects. If you want to […]
BXI in Top 15!
RED-SEA partners Atos and CEA announced on 17 November the first partition of “EXA1”, a supercomputer developed together based on Atos’ BullSequana XH2000 architecture. Reaching 14th position in the TOP500 ranking, “CEA-HF” is interconnected by the second generation of Atos’ BullSequana eXascale Interconnect (BXI v2). Read the full Press Release on: the Atos website or the CEA website.
RED-SEA testbed available
Our test system is now up and running with BXI Interconnect! It is an upgrade of the Dibona prototype developed by the Mont-Blanc projects. Dibona has 12 nodes, each powered by two Arm processors. It is cooled by warm water, using Atos’s Direct Liquid Cooling system (cooling by direct contact with a cold plate or […]
